Intermediate Architectural Technologists

Education:  Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Experience:  3 to 5 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Type of Architectural Experience: Residential construction, Industrial construction, Commercial construction, Institutional construction, Renovation, Interior and space planning

Specific Skills: Operate computer-assisted design systems, Assist in the development of architectural designs, Analyze technical documents and reports, Prepare working drawings, Read & edit specifications, Prepare graphics and presentation drawings, Construct architectural and 3D digital models, minor contract administration

Additional Skills: Prepare proposals, Tender contracts, Supervise architectural technical staff, Monitor and inspect work

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer, parking paid by employer, Public transportation is available

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Ability to Supervise: 4 people or less

Work Location Information: In office

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology.

Senior Architectural Technologist

Experience: 10 to 15 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Type of Architectural Experience: Residential construction, Industrial construction, Commercial construction, Institutional construction, Renovation, Interior and space planning

Specific Skills: Operate computer-assisted design systems, Assist in the development of architectural designs, Analyze technical documents and reports, Prepare working drawings, Read & Edit specifications, Prepare graphics and presentation drawings, Contract administration and field reviews.

Additional Skills: Prepare proposals, Tender contracts, Supervise architectural technical staff, Monitor and inspect work
